Wedding Album: Amy & Tom, Buxted Park, East Sussex

It seems to me that more and more photoraphers are abandoning the wedding album in favour of packages offering the ‘DVD of all images’. I think wedding couples may feel that, so long as they have all the images of their wedding, they can delay the expense of a wedding album until after the honeymoon. And how many of these images ever see the light of day, never mind make it to print? It’s such a shame. I was maid of honour at my friend’s wedding 7 years ago and as far as I am aware only one images has seen the light of day – the image on her thank you cards……

The DVD vs wedding album debate is a whole wedding post of its own but if you are about to choose your wedding photographer or if your wedding images are still languishing on DVD, take a look as our ongoing series of beautiful wedding album designs and get designing!

Todays wedding album is the gorgeous wedding of Amy & Tom, who were married at the luxurious Buxted Park Hotel in East Sussex. They chose a contemporary, storybook wedding album by Graphistudio to show off their stunning images. Photography is by East Sussex wedding photographer, James O’Brien Photography.

Wedding Photo of the Day: Kristiina Männik

I seem to be drawn to black and white this week as my photo of the day today is another monochrome wedding image, this time coming from award-winning Estonian wedding photographer, Kristiina Männik.

This image recently won the ‘Best Photograph of Estonia’ at the recent Baltic Wedding and Portrait Photography contest 2012 held in March. It’s just such a lovely, unique image, I couldn’t resist to include it as our photo of the day today. Tomorrow, I promise some much needed colour!! ♥ ♥

Wedding Photo of the Week: David Purslow Photography

Our image of the week this week is a beautiful panoramic photo by Birmingham wedding photographer, David Purslow.

This photo was taken in Devon at the amazing Tunnel Beach wedding venue and despite the cold, windy April weather, the bride and groom were still up for a climb on the beach! I have to say that the bride looks remarkably relaxed considering that she is perched on what look like rather precarious (and very sharp!) rocks ….

I can’t show the image in it’s full glory in the width of this post so I’ve made it my masthead image this week. If you would like to contact David about your wedding photography you can contact him at www.davidpurslow.com where you can see a full gallery of his work.

Wedding video: Nick and Maria, Haslington, Cheshire

It’s such a cloudy, drizzly day here in London, I thought I’d post this beautiful wedding video of Nick and Maria’s wedding. They were married in the small town of Haslington, just outside of Manchester. It really is just the sweetest video I’ve seen in some time. The part where she opens her presents and letter from Nick just had me in tears …..

The video was shot by the totally awesome Paperback Weddings who flew out from California just to film the wedding! Nick is English and met Maria in a bar called 86 in Hollywood. They both now live in Haslington in Cheshire where they have set up their own Photography and video production company – Studio 1208.

Wedding Photo of the Day: Rob Sanderson Photography

Our photo of the day today is a simply beautiful image by Liverpool wedding photographer, Rob Sanderson. This is just such a gorgeous photo. The bride looks beautifully serene and it almost has an ethereal look. Rob spent many years as a commercial photographer and designer before his love of people drew him into wedding photography. We will soon be publishing more of Rob’s work, along with an interview with the man himself, so watch this space! If you would like to speak to Rob about your wedding photography you can contact him at www.robsandersonphotography.co.uk or call him on 07775 503 659.
